Candidate
will
perform
integration
on
equipment
built to
open
standards
for the
cable
Video on
Demand (VOD)
market.
You will
be
working
with
multiple
vendors
to
provide
a
solution
that
meets
our
customer’s
needs.
Candidate
will
perform
Project
Management
of
system
deployments.
You will
also be
part of
the
group
that
performs
Tier 3
technical
support
to our
Network
Operation
Center.
Travel
up to
50% will
be
required
for this
position.
Ideal
candidate
would
have a
Sys
Admin
background
and
worked
closely
with
either
SUN or
Linux
systems.
Candidate
should
also
have a
solid
networking
background
and a
professional
demeanor.
Required
Skills:
Minimum
Requirements:
5-7
years
work
experience
in
either
Cable or
IT 3-5
years
working
with a
UNIX/LINUX
platform
Experience
working
in an
Oracle
database
Working
knowledge
of XML,
ftp,
SNMP,
ssh 3-5
years
operating/configuring
Network
Switches
Working
knowledge
of SA or
Motorola
cable
plant
Working
knowledge
of VOD
Must be
able to
work
independently
with
minimal
supervision
Experience
with
technical
writing
Preferred
Experience:
Project
Management
BS in
Computer
Science,
Computer
Engineering
or
Electrical
Engineering
